103 bowls day '17

Stutterheim Round Table 103 hosted their 2nd annual bowls day at the Stutterheim Bowling club on Saturday 28 January 2017. Unlike last year which was rained out, we were blessed with perfect weather of amazing sunshine and slight cloud cover.

The day was well supported by 12 enthusiastic teams arriving bright and early for the start of their 1st games at 8:30. These teams consisted of businesses, 41ers and Round Tables from the border area. The 1st games may have taken a little longer, with most teams being guided by members of the bowling club. They assisted with both the rules of the game as well the art of perfecting bowling without taking out players in the adjacent lanes. Before long, these amateurs had become pros and had even picked up some of the bowling lingo.

Each team played a total of 6 games of 6 ends before sitting down to some burgers for lunch while Fishy Field tallied the scores for prize giving. Thanks to the Stutt 103 Tablers for assisting in sourcing enough prizes for all players to walk away with something small to remember the day.
